Oasis for Life Café 9.00 am – 3.00 pm

Open every weekday 9am-3pm, Oasis for Life serves a great range of hot and cold food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Accessible and welcoming, the café is run by Learning for Life staff and learners, and volunteers.

Consett auto-immune support group 11.00 am – 12.00 noon, weekly
This is an informal volunteer-led support group for people living with a chronic illness, chronic pain, or an auto-immune condition. Come along and have a cuppa, a chat, a moan, tell us how you cope with your condition …. or just listen in a friendly setting. Keep Moving – Exercise for Everybody 11.00 am – 11.50 am, weekly

This great new class kicks off with a FREE Pilates Taster on Friday 7 Feb, followed by weekly Friday morning classes. Pilates is ideal for men and women of all ages and fitness levels – to reduce aches & pains; increase movement, flexibility and strength; tone the whole body including the core; balance the body and relax the mind.

Al-anon family group 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm, weekly
Al-Anon Family Groups provide support to anyone whose life is, or has been, affected by someone else’s drinking, regardless of whether that person is still drinking or not. Our members are committed to being there for you when you need help. Whatever your relationship with the drinker, you will find other people who have similar stories to tell. You will realise that you are not alone. Listening to the shared experiences of others may help you find the confidence you need to deal with the effects of someone else’s drinking. Red Dust Company Choir, 7.00 pm – 9.00 pm, monthly. NEXT REHEARSAL FRIDAY 7 FEBRUARY
If you enjoy singing familiar popular songs in a friendly and relaxed setting, this brand new choir led by community musician Bethany Elen Coyle is for you. Consett and Vale of Derwent Field Club 6.30 pm, twice monthly November – early March
