Ways With Words – Creative Writing Saturday 21 March 10.30 am – 12.30 pm
Creative Writing in Consett: A fun, friendly, informal session for anyone who wants to write creatively but doesn’t know where to start! Discover prompts and techniques for short fiction, poetry and autobiography. This two-hour session will be hosted by poet and diarist Steve Urwin, an experienced workshop facilitator and published performer, who is passionate about wordplay as a tool for personal wellbeing. Mindful Makers Craft Club – Thursday 26 March 7 pm – 8.30 pm
This a monthly drop-in session where you can bring anything you’re working on or something that has been waiting to be finished. Leona will also come up with simple crafts for you to complete if you haven’t got anything on the go. This is for everyone whether you already do lots of crafts …. or haven’t a clue but want to try. £5 for a drop in session or £15 for a 4 session pass – this is paid in advance and can be used anytime in 6 months. Parking: if Citizens House car park is full, there’s a free car park round the corner at Sherburn Terrace or on the side streets opposite. The Medical Centre gates are locked outside surgery/pharmacy hours – if your car gets locked in, it cannot be released till the following morning (or Monday morning, if it gets locked in on a Saturday).
