NEW! Free First Aid courses with St John Ambulance Monday 21 October 7.30 pm – 9.00 pm, Tuesday 22 October 1.30 pm – 2.30 pm

Take a few minutes out of your day to learn life-saving skills! “Restart a Heart” is part of a national campaign to teach and raise awareness of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). St John Ambulance are running free demonstrations at Citizens House and there will be the opportunity to perform CPR and use a defibrillator. All welcome, no need to book, free of charge. Conny 2019 Arts Festival  at Citizens House 18, 19, 20 October and 26, 27 October

Citizens House is delighted to be one of several venues for the Conny 2019 Arts Festival. Friday 18 October is the Festival Launch Night at Citizens House from 5pm-9pm with a Cafe and Bar; the Cafe is also open on Saturday 26 October 12 noon – 4pm and there are workshops and exhibitions at Citizens House over both weekends. The wonderful work of Alison Gargett is on display in the Oasis for Life Cafe for the whole of the Arts Festival period.

NEW! Improving Relationships – Master Programme Starts Wednesday 6 November, 12.30 pm – 1.30 pm
Do you need to rekindle your relationship? Are you single and looking for your special someone? Are your kids giving you a hard time? Is there tension with family members? Is your work environment unsatisfying? Are you looking for self-growth and improvement? The Improving Relationships Master Programme run by life coach Mina Muresan will give you tools and techniques to help with all these areas and more. Just one hour a week will help you create successful, sustainable and meaningful relationships.

Needle Felting Christmas workshop Saturday 7 December 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
Under the guidance of felt and fibre artist Tina Cross, you’ll make your own beautiful Christmas-themed needle felt creation …. ideal for a special gift or decoration. Tina is a member of international Felt Makers Association and you can see examples of her work at facebook.com/feltandfibres

Parking: if Citizens House car park is full, there’s a free car park round the corner at Sherburn Terrace or on the side streets opposite. The Medical Centre gates are locked outside surgery/pharmacy hours and on Saturdays this happens at 12 noon 

On-site cafe: the Oasis for Life cafe at Citizens House is open weekdays 9 am till 3 pm, and is ideal for lunch, drinks and snacks before or after a class or activity, or perhaps just for coffee & cake while your child is attending a workshop.
